Your WordPress website needs regular maintenance to keep it up to date, running smoothly and better protected against security problems. But keeping track of updates, backups and potential issues takes time, and it’s not something you should have to worry about yourself.

I’ll take care of the routine maintenance for you, including WordPress, theme and plugin updates, backups, security monitoring and uptime monitoring. If an alert needs attention, I’ll let you know and investigate the issue within the limits of your chosen plan.

With over 15 years of WordPress experience and around 50 websites under my care, I know what to look out for and how to deal with the everyday issues that can arise.

Essential monthly care

The essentials to help keep your website updated, monitored and looked after.

Included in your plan:

  • WordPress updates — updates to WordPress core, your active theme and active plugins.
  • One update cycle — carried out during the first 3 days of your monthly service period.
  • Daily off-site backups — backups stored away from your website’s hosting environment.
  • Security monitoring — monitoring for security alerts and potential issues.
  • Uptime monitoring — alerts if your website becomes unavailable.
  • Monthly maintenance report — a summary of your website’s maintenance and monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting — up to 30 minutes investigating issues identified through updates, security alerts or uptime monitoring.

Ideal if you want an experienced WordPress specialist to take care of routine maintenance and keep an eye on your website.

Standard

More frequent maintenance

For websites that benefit from more frequent updates and additional performance monitoring.

Everything included in Essential, plus:

  • Weekly update cycles — WordPress core, active theme and active plugin updates every 7 days.
  • Performance monitoring — monitoring to help identify potential performance issues.
  • Performance summary — an overview of performance monitoring included in your monthly report.

Ideal for websites that are updated regularly, use a number of plugins or would benefit from more frequent maintenance.

Support

Ongoing WordPress support

₤90 / month *

For website owners who need occasional help with content, layout changes and everyday WordPress tasks, as well as routine maintenance.

Everything included in Standard, plus:

  • Up to 1 hour of support each month for small changes and adjustments.
  • Content and layout changes using Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery or Beaver Builder.
  • Small functional changes to existing website features.
  • Plugin configuration — help adjusting plugin settings and configuring existing functionality.

Examples include updating text or images, adjusting a page layout, adding a section or call-to-action, or changing a plugin setting.

Your support allowance resets each month. Unused time doesn’t carry forward.

Ideal if you regularly need a helping hand with your website but don’t want to manage every little change yourself.

What happens if an update causes a problem?

I’ll investigate issues related to updates, security alerts or uptime alerts within the troubleshooting time included in your plan. If a problem requires more extensive work, I’ll explain what’s involved and agree any additional costs with you before proceeding.
